Peugeot concept news - Glob trotter - 2009
Ever wish your car was a bit more bendy? What you need is bodywork made from translucent morphing polymer...
This ‘Peugeot' is a design study from a bloke called Ahmad Moslemi Far, who've we've only just heard of. It's called the Globule, which is probably the gooeist car name ever. Each section of the car can carry a person and the only bit connected to the road (at least the digital road inside Ahmad's geeky supercomputer) is the driver's section.
Each section has an electric motor, allowing it to change shape and even stack on top of one another. So, in full slinky mode, you can drive it along a busy pavement or park in weeny little spaces designed for prams and cyclists.
Of course, it's pure fantasy at the moment, and we've no idea why he's slapped a Peugeot badge on the front. Perhaps all their future cars will look like snooker balls in a sock.
Kind of reminds us of Slimer from Ghostbusters. Or that stretchy BMW Gina concept. What do you think?
