Nissan Qazana Concept news - On the Q't - 2009
It’s that time of year again, where car makers start teasing us with cunningly cropped pictures of cars they’ll show at Geneva next month. Of course, they remain tight-lipped about it all, and couldn’t possibly tell us anything about anything.
Today, it’s Nissan’s turn to get all mysterious with this picture of its Qazana Concept.
So what is it? The company revealed plans for an ‘innovative new compact car’ last year, and this is it – a chunky, funky, mini-SUV-type-thing, to sit below the Qashqai (of course, that’s all a little cloak-and-dagger at the moment, such is the way of Tease Season).
It’ll cause the biggest hoo-ha on Nissan’s stand at Geneva, unless of course they park it next to a GTR Spec-V or the brand-spanking new 370Z…
Look at its cute face, cracking a cheeky little grin. And look at that enormous fog light – that will keep the chavs happy. We can’t see much else, but it’s a concept car, so it probably has some suicide doors or ridiculous 25-inch wheels to slot under those wide arches.
It will be built from 2010 at the company’s plant in Sunderland, alongside the Qashqai, which is good news for the factory’s workers, who’ve had a tricky time of things recently.
