The most expensive cars sold at Amelia Island

30 cars from Amelia Island Concours sale bring in over $80m

  • Last weekend saw the world’s wealthiest car collectors descend on a tiny, 13-mile long stretch of land just off the Floridian coast for the yearly Amelia Island Concours (think Pebble Beach, only less foggy). And with concours come car auctions. Many of them.

Bonhams, Gooding & Co. (who turned up with a shedload of Jerry Seinfeld's old Porsches) and RM Sotheby’s were all out in force, and had brought with them untold millions worth of (mostly) old cars to sell. We’ve collated the 30 most expensive cars sold at the event – 10 from each auction house – worth a combined $82,080,100, nearly £58m. Have a flick through the gallery and make the case for your favourite in the comments…
