Classified of the week: Porsche 911 reimagined by Singer
911 modified by Singer comes up for sale in the UK. Start selling your kidneys
This car needs no introduction. It is, of course, a Porsche 911 reimagined by Singer Vehicle Design (SVD) of Sun Valley, California. A late-Eighties/early-Nineties 964 “restored” and “reimagined” into one of the most desirable cars in the world. The kind of car that, should you be able to afford it, comes with an incredibly lengthy waiting list...
If you’re happy to wait, specify your perfect 911 and have Singer create it especially for you, great. But not everyone is so patient. If you happen to share the tastes of this particular car’s first owner, you’re in luck – because he’s done with it and has decided to sell up, giving one lucky (and quite rich) individual the chance to skip the queue.
Finished in 2016, "Monaco" has done 5,500 miles and is being offered for sale on behalf of its owner by DK Engineering here in the UK. It’s a left-hooker, finished in a rather fetching shade of blue over a “custom woven and Oxblood hide interior’. Options include much leather, a race seat for the driver (the passenger gets something a little more conventional), uprated brakes and Öhlins dampers.
SVD customers get a choice of 3.8- or 4.0-litre engines. The owner of this car went for the latter, with a six-speed manual transmission. That means 390bhp, 315lb ft, a 7,200rpm red line, 0–60mph in 3.3 seconds and 0–100mph in a little over eight seconds.
Predictably, DK isn’t disclosing the asking price, but we expect many hundreds of thousands of pounds. Tempted?
