Back to the Future DeLorean is restored

Published: 18 Feb 2013

Great Scott! It's only the actual DeLorean from Back to the Future after a year-long restoration!

Yep, this is the ACTUAL hero car that appeared in BttF I, II and III! And it looks so deliciously shiny because it's just had a painstakingly faithful restoration before being put on permanent display in the "Universal Experience" at Universal Studios, Hollywood (past Twin Pines Mall, left at the clock tower. Watch out for slackers).

The work was undertaken by the Time Machine Restoration team, who had to restore the DMC-12's brushed aluminium body panels, flux capacitor, and source the parts that suffered while it was displayed outdoors. Luckily, Bob Gale, co-creator, co-writer and co-producer of the Back to the Future Trilogy, and an army of online fans were on hand to help make OUTATIME just as it was in 1985.

Now watch the teaser video below. Then tell us this - what car would you make a time machine out of?
