Chinese Bugatti Veyron: smokin'

Chinese students have created a Bugatti Veyron (apologies that should read: ‘created' a ‘Bugatti Veyron') from 10,280 empty cigarette packets.

We are not really sure why. Something to do with World No Smoking Day, though what message an odd facsimile of one of the world's least environmentally friendly cars created from the detritus of smokers sends out, your guess is as good as ours.

It's unclear whether the students had to smoke the 200,000-odd cigarettes before creating the fascimile. We can only hope not.

The cardboard Veyron runs, we're told, on an electric motor. Again, no idea. All we do know is that with Scuderia Ferrari forced to remove the Marlboro bar codes from their race cars this year, this thing is unlikely to find its way onto the F1 grid any time soon.
