Caterham's new configurator is excellent

Stop what you’re doing, right now. Caterham has launched a new online configurator, and who’d have thought, it’s probably one of the best we’ve used. Loads of options to choose from, high-quality pics from many angles that actually change when you select said options, and no filter to stop you from building a hideously garish car. It’s a triumph of procrastination. 

You get the choice between the Seven 270, 310, 360, 420 and 620. Caterham’s entire range, starting at £26,490 and running up to just shy of £50K. The lesser models are more fun to play with, because you get more option choices, and therefore more opportunities to inflate the price. 

Narrow- or wide-body, paint or bare metal, seats, wheels, roll-cage – it’s all there. And your changes are all faithfully represented – you can even see the difference between the springs and dampers when you cycle between normal, Sport and Track suspension options. Impressive.
