C63 AMG drifts around Laguna Seca
The Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe doesn't get the new, 5.5-litre twin turbo V8 being rolled out steadily across the AMG range. It retains the fire-breathing 6.2-litre naturally aspirated V8. This is good.
Why so? Because that engine sounds utterly, utterly delicious. Think a platoon of metallic bees heading into the apocalypse; the sound of a thousand metal-hoofed horses galloping to meet Hades himself; a really, really angry Terminator.
So you'll want to watch this video, because this free-breathing V8 has an astonishing effect on rear tyres. Mercedes has announced its official AMG YouTube channel has just reached two million views, and to celebrate, took a C63 AMG Coupe to the Laguna Seca circuit in California and drifted the corkscrew.
But this isn't some bizarre sexual practice. No, it is simply a 451bhp drift machine tackling one of the world's most famous racetrack corners. Yes please.
Want more drift action? You might remember, TG's Facebook page recently hit 10 million fans, and a couple of British drift champs decided to celebrate...
