Yes, that's SIX Jaguar C-X75s in a very shiny workshop
Watch out Bond, your arch-nemesis is here. With five of its mates
What Jaguar’s supercar history lacks in consistency, it makes up for with drama.
Its first supercar proper – the McLaren F1-baiting XJ220 – managed to launch in the middle of a recession. It also disappointed those who actually went ahead and bought one by swapping its concept’s V12 for an engine borrowed from a Metro.
And its spiritual successor, the C-X75? It’s gone from hero to zero and back again in a handful of years. It arrived in our lives as a gas turbine-powered concept, morphed into a LaFerrari-esque hybrid, then was prompty axed when another economic downturn gave Jag the heebie-jeebies.
It’s returned, though, as one of the most exciting Bond cars in 007’s history. The drivetrain has morphed again; this time it's a supercharged V8 with no nods whatsoever to environmentally friendly power creation. Well it is the car of baddy Mr Hinx…
Luridly orange in hue, you can imagine quite a few of them were needed for filming extravagant car chase scenes. And here’s half a dozen C-X75s, all nestled closely together in the Williams workshop from which they emerged.
How much do you want a go in one?
