The Bentley Mulliner Batur will be another extremely expensive hand-built GT
After the £1.5m Bacalar speedster, Bentley is set to unveil a second Mulliner product
Bentley always said that it hoped its £1.5m, 650bhp Bacalar would be the first of many limited-run, coachbuilt Mulliner projects, and sure enough we’re about to see the second…
So, what do we know so far? Well, it has a name for starters. Following in the footsteps of the named-after-a-body-of-water Bacalar, this new car will be called the Batur. Apparently Lake Batur is an 88m deep crater lake in Kintamani on the island of Bali. Learn something new every day on TopGear.com, don’t you?
It’ll be another ‘exclusive, hand-built grand touring Bentley’ says the company, but it’ll also show off the design language that will define Bentley’s future electric cars. Interesting.
What else? Well, um, from the teaser image above it looks like it’ll be painted grey, and we’ll see the finished product at Monterey Car Week on Sunday 21 August.
