A British staple for generations, the much-loved and venerable Defender – the boxy, older one – remains the most popular car exported from the UK to the States in 2022. Indeed, Hagerty data shows a 37 per cent increase since 2021 of UK exports.

Volkswagen Golf MkIII
Yup, the MkIII. Not the V, nor the VII, but the humble MkIII. Despite being a very difficult follow-up to perhaps one of the greatest VW Golfs built, this one’s proved to be a strangely popular export from the UK to the US in 2022.
