Behold: the Unimog Concept

This is how Mercedes is celebrating 60 years of Unimog production - it's massive, it's green, it's got chuff-all chance of ever getting produced and we'd like to own it very, very much.

In amongst the space-pig styling, there's a nod to the first ‘Mog Mercedes built - the open roof tips its hat to Benz's original 1951 M-B model. The colour choice is a little more conceptual - the poison dart frog inspired designers, apparently.

Believe it or not, Concept Unimog actually runs and drives. In fact, it should be pretty handy off-road - it's all modern U 5000 underneath.

Which would you prefer, TopGear.commers - this one or a mint example of the original?
