950bhp Aston Martin hypercar?

Published: 20 Aug 2010

This is apparently what a 950bhp, £6 million 'Aston Martin' hypercar looks like.

An undisclosed coachbuilder - together with a company which builds electric golf-carts - is planning on building eight 'Aston Martin Super Sports' models.

It's got nothing to do with the real Aston Martin, but each "Super Sports' will apparently come with a 5.4-litre twin turbo V8 producing anything between 800bhp and 950bhp, scissor doors, carbon fibre bodywork and an alcantara/carbon fibre/Recaro interior.

Sounds nice, eh? And not at all unbelievable. Not one bit. We're planning on making a hypercar too. It shall be called the ‘Dave ExtraSuperSports', have 10,000bhp, be capable of blasting into outer space on a moment's whim, and be phenomenally proficient at identifying which flavour crisps we desire at any given moment using a complicated and excruciatingly painful metal probe.

But seriously, what do you think of this hypercar?

(Incidentally, if this thing ever sees the light of day, we shall shamelessly backtrack in a manner most shameless)
