Lotus Emira review: exclusive road + track test of 400bhp baby supercar

The brand-new Lotus Emira: the 400bhp baby supercar from Norfolk that we’ve all been waiting for. Impatiently waiting for. So much so we’ve taken the chance to strap ourselves into a 2.7-litre V6 Tour prototype to put it through its paces on Welsh roads, and then on track to see whether it holds its own visually against a Lamborghini Huracán and whether it’s any more practical than its predecessors.

Unsurprisingly, there was quite a fight to see who’d get to drive it. One that didn’t have a winner. So Top Gear magazine’s Jack Rix, Rowan Horncastle, Ollie Marriage and Ollie Kew all decided to have a go.
