This is Gordon Murray's incredible lightweight car collection
Later this month, Gordon Murray will reveal the next car from Gordon Murray Automotive, following on from the T50 three-seater supercar and its track-only winged relative, the T50S Niki Lauda.
Safe to say, we are excited. GM's eye for detail and pursuit of engineering perfection make the cars he builds rather enticing.
And it's that same rarefied taste that makes his personal car collection such an eye-popper. After Murray sold his personal McLaren F1, he could've bought a desert island or a small airline, but instead he invested in possibly the greatest grouping of sub-1000kg classic cars on the planet. And these are no garage queens: they're all in working order, and Gordon likes to drive them.
Still, he managed to keep them still long enough to invite TopGear.com for a guided tour: grab a beverage and settle in for this one. The only thing that's not lightweight here is the sheer breadth of Gordon's knowledge...
