Buying
What should I be paying?
Well, that rather depends on whether you’re in Porsche’s good books and get an allocation for one of these in the first place. We suspect GT3s will be going for ‘overs’ for a little while, at least. Which is pretty scary when the basic price is £158,200.
A quick play on the configurator demonstrates how quickly that number gets bigger. Way bigger. Let’s say you want a GT3 with a wing, two seats and in the lightest possible configuration. So, you’ll need the Weissach Pack with carbon roll cage (£19,531), magnesium wheels (£13,759) and the carbon ceramic brakes (£9,087). Let’s go traditional and choose Guards Red for the paint (£1,704) and you’re up to £206,771.
Or how about picking some choice single options. The Oak Green Metallic Neo in some of these pics is a wonderful colour (£3,250), so you’ll want to keep it safe with protective foil over the front (£2,054). Maybe team it with extended leather inside with contrast stitching (£1,067). Meanwhile matrix LED main headlights are £2,033, door courtesy lights are £154, glossy black brake calipers are £708, ceramics are £9,087.
The rears seats are a no cost option, but if you want Isofix mounts, that’s £154. So a combination of modest and alarming options prices across the board. But you won’t care, because as long as it holds its value, you should be quids in.
