Hyundai ix20 review
Driving
What is it like to drive?
Push it on a road where you're likely to have some fun and the ix20 soon starts to skip about and bobble on its heels. It's not exactly captivating.
In town, strolling along at a comfortable pace, the ix20 displays competent road manners: the ride is smooth, quiet, and the steering both quick and effortless. Same goes for the clutch and gearshift, and thus, a pain-free city commuter.
There are two engine sizes in both diesel and petrol - a 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre. You have to work that diesel engine though: once warm, it's quiet enough, but on the motorway it struggles to really push you along as much as you'd like.
