Interior
What is it like on the inside?
Up front, the Custom Nugget gets two captain’s chairs and Ford’s SYNC3 Audio infotainment system as standard. That means an eight-inch touchscreen, although navigation is an £846 optional extra. Just use CarPlay.
Those two front seats swivel round and create a little seating area with a fold-out dining table, all of which then fold away to make the first of two double beds. The second is accessed from a ladder in the kitchen and utilises the manually opening roof section.
The little kitchen is at the rear of the Nugget and makes for a nice bit of separation between cooking and sleeping areas. There’s a 40-litre fridge, a two-hob gas stove, a 12V power supply and even a proper kitchen sink. Lovely.
You can even connect a little outdoor shower as well as a 240V power input and a freshwater tap. Lovely stuff. Oh, and as previously mentioned, the LWB gets a loo and a second sink back behind the kitchen too. Slightly odd place for it but whether you go for that will be down to personal camping choice.
There’s plenty of ambient lighting around, although it’s not quite as nicely finished as a California and does feel a little more van-like in the materials used. They should be hard-wearing though at least.
