Buying
What should I be paying?
We won’t be getting the entry-level Trend trim here in the UK, so your options are limited to Titanium or Active. The former kicks off the pricing with the manual costing £25,865 and the auto £27,065.
We’d be tempted to make the step up to Active trim though as it brings a slightly softer interior, navigation and adaptive cruise control as standard. It also looks the business with its extra black plastic cladding, a honeycomb mesh grille, front and rear skid plates and 17-inch alloy wheels.
In this trim it really could be the natural successor to the Skoda Yeti. Prices start at £27,185 for the manual and £28,385 for the auto. You’ll want the manual, and then use the money you save to spec metallic paint (£720) and the contrast white roof (£180).
Just for reference, a Citroen Berlingo currently starts at £25,405 in entry-level Flair trim, but its top-spec Flair XTR version will set you back £29,855 and can only be combined with a diesel engine.
If it’s value you’re looking for though, the Dacia Jogger seats seven people and starts at a remarkable £20,595 in top-spec Extreme trim. Honestly, how do they do it?
