Ferrari 812 Competizione review
Buying
What should I be paying?
Costing £447k before you get greedy with the options (that can add another £100k on top of that – £2,592 for some tyre writing, £20,160 for a painted stripe and £3,360 for a clothes rack etc etc) this kind of profligacy deserves sensation and thankfully the 812 delivers it.
Ferrari will also only build just 999 examples of the wild 812 Comp and even fewer of its sister car, the Competizione ‘Aperta’ – just 599 of those will be built. And, to literally nobody’s surprise, both models sold out before it was even shown to the public.
It's a limited-production car, and a Ferrari. Which means residual prices aren’t something you should be too concerned about, as if it’s anything like its predecessors, it’ll be worth more than you’ve paid for it as soon as it’s come out. But be prepared to be slapped on the wrist by Ferrari and join the back of the queue for whatever comes next.
