Chrysler Pacifica review
Interior
What is it like on the inside?
As a people-pleasing people-carrier, the Pacifica’s interior ticks all the boxes. On a luxury front, it’s well appointed with materials of a higher quality you’d expect for a rough-and-tumble family commuter such as this, which seems like it would age better than the cheaper plastics one would likely find in a similar vehicle. You want cubbies? there are loads of cubbies. Just about everywhere you look is a cavity free to hold knick-knacks, mobile devices, snacks and all sorts of stuff.
How about the technology?
From there on out, everything is in service of keeping backseaters complacent. A highlight is the full-on theater system available, powered by Amazon Fire TV. Two fold-out monitors sit on the backs of the front-row seats, ready to entertain those sitting in the second-row captain’s chairs, or anyone craning over from the third row.
Though the Uconnect’s subscription-based cellular connectivity, occupants can stream content from their favorite apps, or connect their devices wirelessly to stream that way, too. There’s even a Blu-Ray player in the center console for you physical media types. Naturally, it should go without saying that there are tons of USB charging ports throughout the massive cabin.
Hey how many gallons of milk can it carry?
Wow, what an awfully specific question to ask! Thankfully, Chrysler has an answer for that - 60 gallons! Take that, the metric system. If you need a slightly better idea of what that means in terms of storage space, there’s up to 150.5 cu ft available from the driver’s seat to the rear hatch. If you’re bringing people along, too, that space gets paired down to 87.5 to 32.3 cu ft depending on how many rows you’re using. All sides have easy access points like the automatic sliding doors and the powered rear hatch that can open with a waved foot if you’re near the back with ladened arms.
