Abarth 595 review
Buying
What should I be paying?
We’ve alluded to cash prices throughout this review, but it’s worth going over them again here to get a real handle on the Abarth range. Ignoring the 695 (and the special editions that have popped up over the years), your entry price is £23,225.
For that you get 17in alloy wheels, a sports steering wheel finished in leather, Alcantara and carbon fibre detailing, that seven-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors, the seven-inch instrument cluster and a rear parking sensor.
Upgrading to the top-spec Turismo for £24,725 gets you different 17s, fancier headlights, leather seats and a Beats Hi-Fi sound system. This is a youth-facing car, after all. You also get Abarth's Tech Pack, which throws in automatic climate control. Handy.
In both cases you'll pay around £2,500 more for the convertible. Canvas roof by the way, in case security is a concern.
Notable options? There aren't many. Red is your only free paint, while white, grey and black are £550. The two bi-colour options are £850. Our advice? Don't got for anything boring.
Want the upmarket Turismo wheels over the standard Montecarlo ones? You'll need the Turismo Pack, which lumps in a special badge and the black leather seats for £900.
Not tempted by the 695 from £25,725? It's faster and more powerful, noisier, gets better Brembo brakes and there's even the option of a sequential gearbox...
