World’s first BMX triple backflip
"Landing with both wheels on the downramp was the most amazing feeling the world," muses 24-year old Jed Mildon, holder of the Guinness record for completing the world's first BMX bike triple backflip.
That's right, New Zealander Jed looped three times on his bike, along a 66ft high super-ramp catapulting him into the unknown-and-potentially-bone-crushing-limb-pulverising-end, before landing perfectly on the purpose-built ‘Megabox' landing.
"I'm so pumped to have aimed for something once deemed impossible and made my dream a reality," said Jed. A representative of the Guinness Book of World Records was on hand at the BMX Jam in New Zealand to approve said looping action, which took Jed three months of training. We suspect much Alka-Seltzer was ingested.
