Weird press shots: the Renault Twingo and a massive digger

Renault struck a whimsical tone with the marketing materials it produced for the launch of the original Twingo. There are pictures of the superb little car with sumo wrestlers taking a nap inside, for example. Then there's this - a picture of a MASSIVE digger carrying one in its bucket. Quite what Renault is trying to say here isn't clear. Yes the Twingo was light, but a digger that size could pick up something far heavier. And yes it was small, but the digger is big and without the context of another car it's hard to say just how small.

Could be there's a story behind it. Maybe the Twingo was badly parked and the digger driver is just moving it out of the way. Or perhaps the little car is broken down, having taken a shortcut through the quarry and not had enough puff to make up the track at the other side. Of course it could be that Twingos are naturally occurring, and that Renault actually mined them from a quarry 50 miles west of Paris rather than build them in a factory. Yes, definitely that last one...
