Someone jumped a Tesla Model S into oblivion on a residential street

Another Tesla went to space this weekend. Briefly

While truly stupid pieces of driving have been happening since shortly after the car was invented, at least these days there’s a chance that acts of true idiocy will more than likely be filmed. Makes the police’s job a bit easier.

This weekend the internet was presented with footage of a Tesla Model S performing a massive leap on a residential side street in the Echo Park area of Los Angeles. Apparently the Tesla driver had been attending a local EV meet and then decided to invite some willing filmers to an impromptu amateur stunt.

The result was a brief silence, a big crash, several wrecked wheelie bins and a written-off Tesla Model S. Apparently the four occupants were unhurt, but scarpered before reporting they had crashed into the back of a parked Subaru.

The LAPD is now investigating, and there’s plenty of online evidence to go on.

Definitely the sort of driving best left to Ken Block on closed roads, in properly prepared cars, this.
