This is a coffee machine inspired by the Porsche 911 Carrera RSR
Martini-liveried La Marzocco coffee machine is limited to just 911 units. We want one
Looking for ways to improve your morning coffee? Tried new beans, different shaped cups and different water temperatures already? Well, there’s clearly only one thing for it. You need your coffee machine to be inspired by the Porsche 911 Carrera RSR. Because of course.
This special edition La Marzocco espresso machine has been developed in collaboration with Porsche. It’s apparently based on the Linea Micra portafilter model but will be limited to just – you guessed it – 911 units.
Buyers can spec their machine in either the Porsche colour Slate Grey Neo or in a classic Martini Racing livery. Probably worth mentioning here that the former is £4,970, while the latter is £5,270 because everyone knows that racing stripes cost money. Yep, even in the coffee game.
Anyway, we’re told that a number of details on the machine are inspired by Porsche products, with the twist handles for steam and hot water looking like drive mode switches and the magnetic drip tray and cup warmer bearing ‘the colour design of the Porsche 911 GT3 with Touring Package’. Right.
Of course, you get plenty of Porsche logos too. Heck, you can even get matching espresso and cappuccino cups, plus an additional electric coffee grinder with even more Porsche branding. That’ll set you back an extra £1,395, though.
“Porsche and La Marzocco share a common mission: we excel through exclusive design, quality and heritage,” said Deniz Keskin, director of brand management and partnerships at Porsche.
“We are united by our attention to detail. And both brands thrive through strong customer bases that value these qualities. With our collaboration, we want to bring these groups together.”
We’d imagine he also wanted to add something along the lines of needing a new coffee machine in the boardroom in Stuttgart, but that bit was conveniently left out of the press release. Still, who wouldn’t want a Martini-liveried coffee machine?
