Omega has unveiled a load of new additions to its Speedmaster 38mm collection

Eight new Speedmasters arrive in 38mm form with retro green or brown dials. We like

It’s not just car design and engineering that gets us excited here at TG. We’ve long been fans of watches too, so this addition of eight new designs to the Omega Speedmaster 38mm collection is a fairly big deal.

The 38mm version of the iconic Speedmaster was first launched in 2017, and these new additions come in Sedna Gold, Moonshine Gold and stainless steel options with 52 diamonds set in the bezel. Mmm, sparkly. There's a choice of two dial colours too – green or brown – plus you can have metal or a matching leather strap.

The Speedmaster was originally designed as a sports and racing watch, and this new collection features a dial with horizontal oval subdials and a vertical oval date window at six o’clock. There are also diamond-polished, rhodium-plated hour/minute hands that are illuminated by something Omega calls ‘Super-LumiNova’.

All of the new additions are powered by Omega’s Co-Axial Calibre 3330 self-winding movement and all come with a seahorse medallion stamped on the caseback – a tradition that started in the 1950s and signified Omega’s water-resistant capabilities.
