Edox has partnered with BMW's superbike team and launched a new Chronorally 45

Swiss watchmaker becomes the ‘Official Timing Partner’ of BMW Motorrad Motorsport

Published: 19 Jul 2024

Edox has launched a new Chronorally 45 watch with a titanium case and signature oversized push buttons, and in doing so it has announced a new partnership with the BMW Motorrad World Superbike team.

The new Chronorally 45 gets a 45mm case (hence the name), a Calibre 38s movement and a new dial design with Super-LumiNova-coated hands and indices. Its features include a tachymeter, 100m water resistance and a 1/10 counter for accurate timing.

Naturally it’ll come in multiple different colours including one with a carbon fibre-style face, with each costing €1,295 before tax.

The Swiss watchmaker has a long history in timing motorsport with involvement in WRC, the Dakar rally and FIA Rallycross, but this is its first foray into the world of two wheels.

"The decision to expand from motorsport cars to motorcycles underscores Edox’s commitment to embracing new challenges and pushing boundaries,” said Edox boss Alexandre Strambini.

“Motorcycle racing demands the same precision and performance as its four-wheeled counterpart, making the Chronorally 45 the ideal companion for both professional riders and enthusiasts alike. Our partnership with the BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team and BMW Motorrad Motorsport marks an exciting new chapter for EDOX.”
