Volkswagen Touareg news - VW slashes Touareg prices - 2006

Volkswagen is wooing buyers for its Touareg SUV with a simplified range at reduced prices.

The entry-level 2.5 turbodiesel model now comes in at £28,600, with prices going all the way to £56,050 for the 5.0 V10 Altitude model.

The Altitude trim becomes a permanent fixture in the range, sitting above the mid-spec SE.

The SE models are also reduced in price but gain £3,000 worth of extra equipment as standard, including heated leather seats, satellite navigation and a six-disc CD changer.
