This is the world’s fastest ever Formula 1 pit stop

Watch Max Verstappen’s mechanics give him a fresh set of boots in 1.88 seconds

We’ll keep this brief, because, by its very nature, that’s what this story is about.

You may remember that two weeks ago the seemingly robotic Red Bull team managed an unbelievable pit stop at the British Grand Prix. At Silverstone, Pierre Gasly’s grease monkeys managed to rip an old set of tyres off and put a fresh set on in just 1.91 seconds. But now, having sharpened up their fast-twitch muscles, the Red Bull crew have gone even quicker. They completed a pit stop at Hockenheim in an incredible 1.88 seconds. Now, we’re not sure about you, but we’ve had sneezes that have taken longer.
