Video: watch the AMG One smash some more lap records

We’re assuming you know by now that the Mercedes-AMG One is the fastest production car ever to lap the Nürburgring, having set a ludicrously-quick time of 6m 35.183s just last month.

When Mercedes announced its achievement, we brought you news of the time alongside the brilliant onboard footage of the lap. Now though, AMG’s latest video shows that the One actually broke a few more lap records along the way…

Yep, that’s production car records at the Nürburgring Grand Prix circuit (1m 56.096s), the Red Bull Ring (1m 26.846s – bet Merc’s F1 team enjoyed that one) and the Hockenheimring (1m 38.563s). Turns out if you spend years trying to stuff a Formula 1 engine into a road car, the end result is something rather rapid indeed. Who’d have thought it?
