Video: Cayman GT4 at the TG Track

Finally, Porsche has allowed the Cayman to cut loose. Called the GT4, it's a specialist weapon carved by Porsche's skunkworks GT division.

Potent thing, too. With bits borrowed from its bigger GT3 brother, and a 380bhp 3.8-litre flat-six lifted from the 911 Carrera S, the Cayman GT4 will see 0-62mph off in just 4.4 seconds - a full half second quicker than the Cayman GTS - and run on to a top speed of 183mph.

Could it be the Porsche to rule them all? To find out we raced through the night for 12 hours from Stuttgart to Dunsfold to let the Cayman GT4 run free at the TG Track. 

So turn up your speakers and listen to that flat-six sing...
