This is a posh mud-loving super tank

Published: 08 Jun 2015

A few months ago, we showed you an apocalypse-proof drift tank sliding, jumping and smashing its way through an icy landscape. It is excellent. You appeared to agree.

It was the work of military-grade fabricators and identical twins Geoff and Mike Howe. And since that last video, the guys at Howe and Howe technologies have been tinkering away with a new version - a luxury edition. Yes, a luxury, mud-guzzling tank. Our level of want has now reached the stratosphere.

Using the same Ripsaw chassis - next-gen lightweight tank tracks with adjustable pneumatic suspension - the EV2 Lux can scramble across, and over, pretty much everything on Planet Earth.

But new additions include a stealthy matte black paint job, a new retina-burning light bar, a huge winch, an interior fit for Gotham City and the ability to knock a zombie apocalypse for six.

With 600bhp from a diesel engine and deep teethy tracks, as you'll see in the video above, the EV2 can chew through any surface and bobs through sludgy mud with ease.

If you want one - which we certainly do - Howe and Howe are willing to build a limited run if you give them six months and a couple of hundred thousand dollars to do so. Where do we sign?
