Car destruction, medieval style

Why on EARTH didn't we think of this? The footage below sees one man take an American Civil War-era 12-pound cannon and fire it through a Saturn while filming it in slow motion.

We've always though cannons looked a bit, well, rubbish as agents of destruction. This, however, does a rather splendid job of proving otherwise - the cannonball passes through the engine block, dash console, seats and boot of the poorly Saturn before charging into the distance.

Now watch. Then have a look at the time Jeremy Clarkson got set upon by a slightly more manoeuvrable cannon...
