This is the *only* road-legal V8 Vantage AMR Pro, and it could be yours...

... for a cool £625k. But what better way to get your daily dose of adrenaline?

Published: 17 May 2024

You read that right. Of the seven V8 Vantage AMR Pros ever built, only one was made road legal. This is that one. We are in rare company indeed.

It’s currently up for grabs at H.R.Owen, and as per the listing it has done just 117 miles in the seven years since it was built. If you need to know why owners tend not to convert them for use on the A13, take another good look at the gallery above.

It’s nuts, isn’t it? The non-existent wheel well space means a pothole of any size will warrant a visit to the body shop (and a chiropractor for your ruined spine). Further examination unveils a rear wing so large you’ll likely require a pilot’s licence for it.

The ferocious soundtrack of the AMR’s 4.7-litre V8 is also channelled through a dual-exhaust setup, guaranteed to wake your neighbours at 5am on a cold start. But given its output of 509bhp (it was the most powerful V8 Vantage ever at the time) is enough to catapult you to 62mph in around four seconds, you should be well clear of said neighbours by the time they get downstairs to give you a scolding.

Tempted? It could be yours now, provided you’ve got £625,000 to spare… remember these cost £950k plus tax when new though, so you can think of it as a cut-price bargain. Kinda.
