500bhp for under £20,000: here are 10 used 2010s cars we found this week

The F10 generation is perhaps the black sheep of the M5 lineage, given it was preceded by the sonorous V10-powered E60 and succeeded by the all-conquering F90. As a result, you can find clean examples like this floating around for as low as £18,000, for which you get much comfort, plenty of tech and a mammoth 552bhp. Happy tailgating, folks.

Despite the fact the Jaguar XKR is fast approaching its 20th anniversary, the shape still looks as good today as it did back when it was launched. Better, we’d argue, since very few modern cars boast the swooping silhouette and bottomless serving of snarls and snorts produced by its supercharged 5.0-litre V8. Perfection.

The full-bore XJRs haven’t yet consistently crept under the £20,000 threshold, but worry not: a one-owner XJ Supersport with the same 5.0-litre V8 has. Not only is it the long wheelbase version which offers more, er, wheelbase, but you also get a sunroof, ambient lighting and virtual dial readouts inside. It should also be mildly comfortable…
