This is the new Toyota Tundra TRD Pro, and yes, it has a GRILLE

Toyota has been a part of the ridiculously oversized front grille game for a while now through Lexus, but somehow most of its luxury models seem to suit their angular XXL faces. 

It now looks like Toyota-badged models will join the fight too, with the first being this manatee-mouthed, US-only 2022 Tundra pickup. 

Does it really need to look that aggressive up front? And does the grille need to be so tall? Toyota has revealed just one image of the new Tundra so far – in its peak off-roady TRD Pro spec – after several other exterior shots leaked online.

It would seem this is Toyota really taking the grille game to its rivals, the Ford F-150 and Chevrolet Silverado, both of which have spouted honking great mugs in recent years. It’s all getting a little silly now though, isn’t it?
