2014 Jeep Cherokee
Esteemed users of the internet, allow us to introduce to you the new Jeep Cherokee: the first all-new Jeep built by the Fiat-Chrysler alliance, and what the Italian-American firm hopes will steal you lot away from the Land Rover Freelander.
OK, so we don't know much about it just yet because its not due to debut until the New York motor show in March. But the manufacturer promises it'll boast "best-in-class capability, exemplary on-road driving dynamics, and fuel economy improvements of more than 45 percent versus the outgoing model."
Underneath, it's based on Fiat's Compact Wide platform, which is a slightly swollen version of the Alfa Giulietta's underpinnings, just as you'd find under the new Dodge Dart. It'll be amongst the first cars from Fiat Chrysler to get a snazzy new nine-speed gearbox. Which sounds a little excessive.
How d'you feel about the Pontiac Aztec/contemporary hearth styling, TopGear.commers?
