You can now live in your Isuzu D-Max thanks to these new accessories
Provided by Australian brand ARB, the slide-out kitchen and additional off-road equipment can be chosen alongside a selection of tents
Soaring house prices and the inflated cost of living… it all seems a bit daunting, doesn’t it? Thankfully, ARB - an Australian 4x4 accessories manufacturer - has created the perfect solution for you by turning the Isuzu D-Max into the ultimate home from, er, former home. Though, you’ll have to make do without a letterbox and chandeliers.
A slide-out kitchen has been attached to the truck floor bed and includes a gas hob and sink, with extra drawers for keeping your herbs and spices and a fridge freezer to retain a subzero temperature for that end-of-day beer.
You’ll also spot a hard shell ladder nestled away among the empty ketchup and mayonnaise bottles, which you’ll proudly anoint as your very own penthouse elevator, getting you from kitchen to tent within a few steps. OK, elevators don’t normally require any increase to your heart rate, but just get with the program. Sheesh.
Four tents are available, and all integrate a hardtop ‘gullwing’ canopy to shield you from the elements. The diamond quilted flooring doesn’t look half bad either, does it?
For those who want to do some actual off-roading, and not just ascend a small hill in Richmond Park before calling it a night, ARB will also sell you some additional off-roading equipment. The highlight of these is a Tred Pro recovery board, which helps you navigate the more challenging terrains. Sadly, shag pile carpets weren’t spotted on the options list.
Since said options are likely purchasable as individual products and not solely as one big conversion, no price has been listed. Perhaps that’s for the best, though, because a few days in the wilderness without a letterbox and chandeliers may just make you want to return to a life of soaring house prices and an inflated cost of living.
