Video: Stig’s been on holiday

Some say he has his own queue at Heathrow passport control, and that he refuses to familiarise himself with the position of the aircraft's emergency exits. All we know is, he's back from his travels.

Yes, the tame racing driver known in Spain simply as ‘El Stig' has returned from his round-the-world trip, luckily just in time for the start of Series 22.

And, judging by this short documentary/blatant new series trailer, the tame racing driver known in Italy simply as ‘Il Stig' has been busy, sampling the sights of Egypt, Australia and more, all through the windscreen of a very yellow Lambo.

But now he's back on British soil, and gearing up to thrash the finest new metal around our test track throughout Series 22. Which, as if you haven't heard already, kicks off this Sunday at 8pm on BBC Two.

Oh, and - for the first time - the first episode will be broadcast in 55 countries around the world, with a further 13 countries to air the show within 24 hours. Check your local listings to find out if you're in one of the blessed territories.
