Top Gear TV returns on Sunday 16 June!

Top Gear TV is back! Episode 1 of series 27 kicks off on Sunday 16 June, at 8pm on BBC Two. That’s right, Father’s Day. You’re welcome, dads of Britain.

And we can reveal that episode 1 will feature Paddy McGuinness, Freddie Flintoff, and Chris Harris all reliving their first car experiences… in Ethiopia. Yeah, makes sense.

Each of them were given a couple of thousand pounds to buy a fine example of their own first car – or at least an example that worked. A bit. They were then told to drive their purchases to the Danakil Depression, the hottest year-round place on Earth. Find out how they fared on Sunday 16th.

Elsewhere, Harris takes to the track in the McLaren 600LT and Ferrari 488 Pista in order to determine which track-day supercar is the best. Suffice to say, Europe’s tyre manufacturers were kept in business for another few years.
