Top Gear TV returns on 26 Jan!
It’s official: mark your novelty ‘dogs in cars’ calendar for Sunday night, 8pm
Fans of car-based telly, we have some important news: Top Gear TV returns to your screens on 26 January, the year 2020. That’s not this Sunday, but Sunday next. At 8pm. On BBC Two.
That’s right, TG TV is back, despite our trio of Paddy, Freddie and Chris being cooked alive in the Ethiopian desert, inverted in a hearse and electrocuted in the Midlands last time out.
This time around, there’s a race against the RAF’s latest fighter jet using the medium of a McLaren Speedtail, scaling Peru’s giant peaks in knackered old American jalopies, competing in the Baja 1000, and discovering if it’s possible to bungee jump a car, among other things.
Yeah, a little humdrum, we know. Adding the sparkle to this series, another highlight includes a road-trip from Bognor to Essex in budget convertibles.
So, mark your novelty ‘dogs in cars’ calendars: Sunday 26 Jan, 8pm, BBC Two. Not gonna be near a BBC Two at 8pm? Press the big red record button on your VHS, or indeed use something a little less wilfully quaint and catch up on BBC iPlayer.
