But there was also a horsepower haymaker delivered in the form of Chris Harris behind the wheel of Ferrari’s 770bhp F12tdf, and Matt LeBlanc riding shotgun in Ken Block’s 845bhp modified ‘Hoonicorn’.

Oh, and the small matter of the ultimate hot hatch test conducted by Rory Reid, and Chris Evans and Sabine Schmitz at Laguna Seca in the brand new Audi R8 V10 Plus.
