Here’s your first look at the new series of Top Gear TV

Top Gear returns to your screens… as soon as it clears customs. Paddy, Freddie, Chris and The Stig are back very soon with an all-new series of TGTV, and here’s your first look at a brand new scoop of sensible motoring television.

Which naturally includes racing buggies through alligator-infested swamps in Florida, donk racing in Miami, and patrolling the mean streets in a selection of classic TV cop cars – including Starsky and Hutch’s Ford Gran Torino and Morse’s wonderful MkII.

Elsewhere, Freddie pays tribute to the late, great Sir Clive Sinclair by transforming a Sinclair C5 into a bobsleigh – of course – and sending it down Lillehammer’s Olympic luge track in a bid to hit 60mph. Which, fair to say, is rather faster than the regular C5 could ever manage.

TGTV returns to BBC One and BBC iPlayer very soon. Assuming airport customs have recovered...
