Exclusive: the car chase from Safe House

He was married to Scarlett Johansson. He was named the sexiest man in the world in 2010. He’s starred in many, many successful films, including X Men Origins: Wolverine, Green Lantern and Blade: Trinity.  

And just when life couldn’t get any better for Ryan Reynolds, this week he got to drive a competitively-priced Korean hatchback around a cold track on a remote airfield near Guildford in the company of a tame racing driver.

Yes, Ryan Reynolds is the star in the C-Apostrophe-D this week – particularly good news if you’re female, judging by the reaction of the studio audience during filming.

So, to whet the appetite, we’ve tracked down an exclusive clip from his new film Safe House, where the young Canadian previews his driving skills by piloting a battered maroon E32 BMW 735i while beating up co-star Denzel Washington at the same time. Check it out:
