Top Gear magazine: new look! Plus FREE 3D mag!
Make sure you never miss an issue: take out a Top Gear subscription today!
At Top Gear we’re always looking for ways to make the best car magazine (in the world) even better, which is why you’ll notice a few changes this month. Yes. Top Gear has had a facelift.
We’re still going to deliver you the very best access to the hottest motoring news, views and stories from around the globe each month – but the refresh will help us deliver more of what you love: the world’s best writing, the most beautiful photography, more incredible features and more reviews of all the new cars that matter.
FREE 3D MASSIVE MAG
Not only do you have an new-look Top Gear mag to enjoy, this month we’re also giving you a stunning 3D extravaganza. Yes, TG in 3D. We’ve taken some of our finest photography, conducted some clever jiggery-pokery and the end result is an incredible 3D magazine.
To the naked eye these might make you feel a bit queasy, but slip on the free (if perhaps a bit silly) 3D glasses, sit back and enjoy the world of Top Gear coming alive in three glorious dimensions.
NEW LOOK
We’ve not just repainted the old shell and tried to pass it off as new. New features include James May’s Almanac, the TG Agony Uncle (a slightly scary prospect), plus readers’ own reviews of the cars we feature in our long-term Top Gear Garage. We’ve also made substantial changes the data section to give you a more comprehensive guide to the cars that matter
(Those of you who still want some stat based pub ammunition, or actual consumer advice, head to topgear.com/reviews for every detail on every new car in the UK, plus a back catalogue of our road tests)
And don’t worry: there are still the usual rants and opinions from Clarkson, Hammond and May, and honest no-holds-barred judgements on every car that matters. So, business as usual, then.

THIS MONTH
Back to this month’s issue and we have the automotive equivalent of Fight Club. First up, Britain and Italy fight it out in the Battle of the Spiders with the Ferrari 458 and McLaren 12C going head-to-head for the drop-top supercar crown.
There’s a hot-hatch judgement day between the Clio RS, Fiesta ST and 208 GTi. We pitch two of the hottest superwagons against each other, the Merc E63 and Audi RS6. Plus the very enthusiastic Honda Asimo meets the, somewhat less enthusiastic, Stig.
And to round it all up, in true Top Gear style, we’ve put the beautiful new Ferrari F12 Berlinetta into a race. Against a Caledonian Sleeper train. Naturally...
REVIEWS
As usual we’ve packed in every new car that matters this month, including the BMW M6, Renault Captur, Audi S3, VW Golf GTi, Peugeot 2008, Nissan Leaf, Volvo V60 Hybrid, LR Electric Defender, Lexus LS, Subaru Forester, Seat Ibiza Cupra, VW Beetle Turbo and Mini JCW GP.
And in the Top Gear Garage this month you can catch up with our ongoing tests of the Subaru BRZ, Cadillac CTS-V, Peugeot 208, VW Beetle, Dacia Sandero, Honda CR-V, Ford Focus ST Wagon, Audi RS4, Mazda CX-5 and Jaguar XF Sportbrake.
