News about your TopGear.com account

Regular TopGear.commers will already be aware that a few weeks ago we changed the commenting system on the site to Disqus.

Having done some quick Top Gear Maths, it was clearly a good move: more of you are commenting than ever before and we’ve seen the end of the irritating spam that had been plaguing the site. Plus, of course, more of you are now entering into heated debate with members of the Top Gear staff underneath our latest news, reviews and first drives.

So, as of this week, we will be implementing Disqus across the rest of TopGear.com (the presenter columns, our TV show and motosport blogs and the series guides).

If you have an existing TopGear.com account, this will be removed in the near future. Going forward, to interact with the site you can use your Facebook, Twitter or Google Plus accounts, or you can set up a new Disqus account (which is straightforward – head to the link for instructions).

If you’re signed up for our TopGear.com newsletters fear not, these will continue to arrive to your email.  If you’d like to sign up, then head to the home page of the site and fill in your details as usual.
