Novitec will give your Lamborghini Urus Performante 782bhp

Novitec continues its fine form with Lambo’s biggest bull. Gives it massive power and a new ‘Esteso’ widebody kit

Published: 20 Dec 2023

In a typically civilised manner, Bavarian tuning house Novitec has waved its wand of lunacy at the Lamborghini Urus Performante to create an even more powerful variant of the bonkers SUV. Expecto Patronum, indeed.

External modifications include all-new ‘Y-spoke’ 23-inch Vossen wheels, which automatically make the Urus more king-sized than a double bed, and a suite of carbon bolt-ons applied at both ends, across the arches and to the side mirrors. A full or partial carbon bonnet design and carbon rear wing provide further pantomime to the so-called ‘Esteso’ body kit, while the chunkier hips are unmistakably Novitec, and add 10cm of width at the front axle and 12cm at the rear.

Sticking with the dimensions, new sports springs lower the overall height by 2.5cm, while the side sills contribute to the lower, wider stance. Novitec says some of these changes have been made to reduce lift at higher speeds, but they’re fooling nobody. These technicalities come second to the primary goal it always has in its sights: make a car look as audacious as possible. It has Pope Francis written all over it.

By contrast, the interior has seen a less radical makeover. That’s not a complaint, just to be clear. Lamborghini’s standard cabin has plenty of personality to it, though Novitec will throw in more leather and add extra carbon if you so wish.

Moving onto the internals, Novitec couldn’t help but fettle with the Urus’ 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, the result of which is a new peak output of 782bhp and 761lb ft of torque. That means this church on wheels now has more power than a hardcore McLaren 765LT

As a result, the Urus Performante is able to launch to 60mph in a mere 3.1 seconds en route to a limited top speed of 193mph. Pope Francis should have a jolly good time exercising the eight-speed transmission during his lunch breaks at the Vatican, then.

Pricing is yet to be confirmed for the makeover, but an educated guess based on previous Novitec products would yield a figure between £20,000 and £30,000. Novitec has also confirmed that sections of the Esteso kit will be made available for the slightly mellower Urus ‘S’ too.
