Here are some lovely pictures of the facelifted VW Touareg with the Northern Lights
Yes the Aurora Borealis is lovely, but VW also wants you to look at the camouflaged Touareg
The facelifted third-generation Volkswagen Touareg is set to be unveiled in May this year, but before we see it in full, VW wants us to see it in some very pretty scenery.
Yeah, we’re not too sure why either, but these snowy shots do tell us that the updated SUV will get fresh bumpers front and rear as well as new LED lighting all round. And check out that light up rear VW badge. We’re liking that.
We’re told that the new headlights will be HD matrix units that are made up of 38,400 micro LEDs. Oh, and expect that to be a full-width rear lightbar under the camo.
Volkswagen says that there will be ‘new running gear’ for the Touareg too, with engines including a V6 petrol, two V6 diesels and two plug-in hybrid options. Details are scant right now, but one of the PHEVs will form the updated Touareg R complete with 456bhp and 516lb ft of torque.
On the inside the monster 15-inch central infotainment screen remains, but we’re told that the whole cockpit has been “enhanced in many details”. One of those details will be material quality, with softer foam for certain touchpoints and new double stitching.
But anyway, lovely scenery isn’t it?
