This is the £92k Nissan GT-R Track Edition
Firmer 'track-tuned' Nissan GT-R arrives in the UK this November
This is the Nissan GT-R Track Edition. Short of a proper GT-R Nismo, it’s the most hardcore GT-R there is, and it’s coming to the UK in November. Now, we’ve known about the Track Edition for some time, but this is the first time Nissan’s given us any real info beyond “it’s coming”, so…
The price is £91,995, which is some way short of other, similarly track-y cars like the 911 GT3 RS and M4 GTS, both of which are way over £100k. Changes from the standard GT-R are limited to bespoke Bilstein dampers, a more lightweight, stiffer anti-roll bar and, erm, some new bumpers. Power is an identical 562bhp, which means performance should be more or less equal to the standard car. Fast, then.
Inside you get the 2017MY GT-R’s vastly improved interior, with Recaros from the GT-R Black Edition. And of course there’s carbon. A spoiler is standard, but you can have the whole boot lid made out of it if you like. Carbon-backed seats are optional, too.
Is it worth the extra £12k over the standard car? We’ll let you know once we’ve driven it…
